WHAT ARE SOLID FLOORS?
Solid wood floors are pieces of wood which are tongue and grooved. They come in various different finishes such as Lacquered, Oiled, Untreated and lots of different species. They can be glued down, clipped, or nailed down depending on the product.It is very important when a wood floor is laid that you leave the correct expansion around the outside and you put breaks in doorways such as door thresholds. Most wood needs to be left to acclimatise before installation.
